The Testimony of Apostle JW Sawyerr.
Something happened to me when I was young. I read Isaiah 53. And when I read the passage, I felt something happen.
I started to cry, I started to sob. Something happened that changed my life. Something happened that reversed my life. Something happened that motivated me. Something happened that stimulated me. Something happened that connected me to God, and I couldn’t stand it. Something happened that gave me an insight to read the Word. To search the Word, to read the Word every day. I got connected to fellowshipping with others, I got connected to going to church. Something was pushing me. I don’t know what was pushing me, but I felt it was God’s power. I felt it was God’s presence. I felt it was God telling me something which I did not understand.
I saw myself going to church every Sunday, I saw myself going to fellowship and prayer meetings, and all-night meetings. Something was happening to me. I never knew God was real. But I got connected to God, and nothing mattered to me than to have more of God.
Then one day, I started to preach the Gospel. I started to minister in schools, I started to witness to lives, and I saw myself in the ministry. Jesus touched me, I got connected to Him. And I can’t stop preaching because I feel men should know God. I feel men should know Jesus is real and alive.
I can’t stop preaching, because there’s something in me that can’t stop it. I want to touch lives; I want them to know that God is real. Hallelujah. God is real. And I want Him to touch you, too. You can experience Him like I experienced Him.
He can touch you. If you only give your life to Him, and that will change your life.
And I started to read the Word, and I came in the Word to 1 Samuel 10:6,
“And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.”
And I saw myself turn into another man.
I went to the University of Science and Technology, I studied to be a Design Engineer. But I saw myself turn into another man, because the Spirit came upon me. And I began to minister, and God started to open doors to nations that I’ve never been before. And I saw His tremendous hand moving everywhere I go. I saw men delivered, I saw men crying under the unction of the Holy Ghost, I saw men believing that God is real, I saw miracles and signs and wonders. I saw the lame walk, the blind to see… Oh, I saw the Holy Ghost fill men.
And I believe God is so real. He has got a hold of me, and I can’t stop preaching the Word… I have run away before, to hide from God, like Jonah. I stopped preaching, but God came out to find me.
And I can’t stop preaching.
Oh, God has got hold of me.
I can’t stop -- because I’m so connected with Him.
It’s time for the world to know that when you are connected to God, you can’t stop enjoying the benefits that are in the spirit-realm.
He said, “That to as many as believe in Him, He gave the power to become the sons of God.” Sons of God are connected to God; sons of God are kings, and priests and royals in the spirit-Realm. Sons of God are Captains and Commanders in the spirit-realm.
I preach because I believe Jesus is alive.
I preach because I believe -- the Holy Ghost is real.
I preach because I believe --- God is the creator of Heaven and Earth.
I preach because I’ve had an encounter with angels.
I preach because I’ve got a tremendous experience with the mighty hand of God.
I preach because I see that even when I was down in the pit, God came, and He took me out of the pit.
He IS God, and there is NONE like Him.
He IS God, and there shall NEVER be anyone like Him.
He IS God, seated high above on His throne, and the Earth is His footstool.
Do you REALLY want to experience Him? Do you REALLY want His touch? Do you REALLY want to know whether God is real?
He is REAL to me. He is real to me, and He has changed my life. He has turned my life around.
And --- I can smile whether I’m poor or rich…
I can smile whether I have a car or not….
I can smile whether I have money or not…
I can smile whether there’s food on my table or not, because I believe I’m hooked to God. He makes me happy, He completes my joy, He completes my peace.
I can’t just stop preaching the Gospel, because the Gospel is real. Without the Gospel you are empty.
Men have all things, but there is a lack in their life.
Men possess all the riches, all the materials, and yet at night they can’t sleep, they are crying. Something is missing… Joy is missing… Happiness is missing…Peace is missing. But when you are connected to God, you are complete.
I believe this word will touch your heart -- for you to believe that there is a God who cares about you.
I believe this word will touch your heart --- for you to know that there is a Heaven, and there is a Hell.
I believe that this word will touch your heart -- for you to know that you shall never live on this world forever, for it is a short time to live here.
I believe this word will touch your heart -- and you will start searching for God to know God and to seek God. And I believe right now that you will find God because the Holy Ghost will minister to you, even as you search for God. And He will touch you, like He has touched me, when I was 19 years, in that lonely room alone with my Bible. And I read that passage, Isaiah 53. And it shook me, and it changed my life.
He will do that for you. Just open your heart to believe and to receive. He’s knocking at your heart, like He did at my heart.
And today, I can stand and shout Hallelujah; I can jump and sing, and bless people! And I’m happy to see people blessed, because there is NOTHING like being blessed … by the Lord.
Thank you Jesus, thank you Holy Spirit, that as many as hear this word shall be touched. And they shall believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and they shall come to the true knowledge of the existence of God. Let them know you God as they listen to this word, and read this word. That one day they will give a testimony that, “I heard a voice, I read a book, I read a paragraph… and something happened to me.” Let it happen to them, in Jesus’ name, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Isaiah 53
1Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
2For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
8He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
9And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
10Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
11He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
12Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
