Introduction

I will start by explaining the motivation leading to the initative of Wake Up Africa.

The phenomenon is vivid that wrath, anger ,bitterness, hatred, "Pull Down Syndrome", murdering, "The Me Mentality", materialism, and lack of patriotism...  all are tantamount to poverty retrogression and under-development in Africa !!!

Africa is hungry  for  Wisdom,knowledge & understanding.

(PROVS.3:19-21).

Help me help Africa !!!!

Spiritually Africa is Vibrant, BUT....

It is not enough to shout Hallelujah, pray in tongues and go to church every day.

Spiritually Africa is vibrant in praise and worship, Signs and Miracles, and in the acknowledgement of the Creator of Heaven and Earth, which is God.  Churches are full to capacity. But many people dont know where the next meal is coming from. 

Africa is rich in minerals, gold, bauxite, diamonds, palm oil and agricultural land. Nevertheless two thirds of the population lives by subsistence agriculture.

As a result of the violence in the 90s, the economy and the social structure of Sierra Leone were totally dislocated.  Everything ceased to function and everyone’s life was in danger. Sierra Leone even fell to the bottom place on the Human Development Index, the list of the UNDP (United Nations Development Program) which classifies countries by subjects such as literacy and availability of healthcare. The average lifespan in Africa was the shortest in the world: only 27 years. In 2004 Sierra Leone still stood at the bottom of the list with an average lifespan of 39 (Male) and 42 (Female) years. Of course, cessation of hostilities has had a major beneficial influence on the overall economic and social situation, but major investment is needed for many years before Sierra Leone can recover from poverty. Rebuilding society and the economy with comprehensive aid from the international community will be central in years to come.

Vision

The primary aim of Wake Up Africa is to promote education and social care for Christians in the war-torn third world countries of Africa.  Wake Up Africa is of the conviction that education is a right of every human being in every nation. Everyone should be given the opportunity to enjoy and reap the benefits of education. Therefore, it is the goal of Wake Up Africa to promote education in war-ravaged countries of Africa.

There are many amputee victims of Africa’s wars.  Wake Up Africa assists Amputees to be self-reliant by providing them with artificial hands and legs.  We also target churches in these countries to help them take over what the devil has stolen from them.
